FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY:

RECENT PROJECTS
Sacred Land —Photographing prehistoric/historic areas in Florida, including Native American mound sites and historic settlements, to expand on my series, Sacred Land. The pictures transform what remains of our early history with a visionary eye, challenging our visual and historical perception of the landscape. The photographs investigate the way early inhabitants marked or created their place in the world, while also commenting on the photographic process of transforming a three-dimensional world into a flattened image.

Shelter—a continuation of my intimate exploration of the American landscape — images of rockshelters and other sites of early human settlement in the northeastern U.S., raising issues of identity, home, protection, shelter.
